Trek Junkies offers a wide range of treks across the Himalayas including beginner-friendly options like Kedarkantha and Kuari Pass, moderate treks like Brahmatal and Valley of Flowers, challenging expeditions like Roopkund, and extreme adventures like Kalindi Khal Pass. We have something for every experience level and fitness capability.
Not at all! We welcome complete beginners on our easier treks like Kedarkantha, Kuari Pass, and Valley of Flowers. These treks are designed for first-timers with proper guidance and support. For challenging treks like Roopkund or Kalindi Khal, we do recommend prior high-altitude experience and good fitness levels.
Safety is our top priority. Our guides are trained in first-aid and high-altitude rescue procedures. We carry oxygen cylinders, comprehensive medical kits, and emergency communication devices on every trek. We monitor weather conditions closely, maintain proper acclimatization schedules, and have evacuation plans ready. Our team constantly checks trekkers' health and never takes unnecessary risks with your safety.
Absolutely! We welcome solo travelers and have many women trekkers joining our groups. Trekking in groups with experienced guides creates a safe and supportive environment for everyone. Many of our treks see solo travelers who bond with fellow trekkers and make lifelong friends. We ensure everyone feels comfortable, included, and safe throughout the journey.
Our easier treks like Kedarkantha, Kuari Pass, and Valley of Flowers are suitable for anyone aged 12 to 60 years with reasonable fitness. Children below 12 can join with parental supervision on select easy treks. For challenging treks like Roopkund and Kalindi Khal, we recommend ages 18 to 50 with excellent fitness. Ultimately, fitness and mental preparedness matter more than age.
Our packages typically include transportation from base point, experienced trek leaders and guides, camping equipment and tents, all meals during the trek, forest permits and entry fees, first-aid support, and porter/mule support for carrying common gear. Personal backpack carrying and travel to base point are usually not included.
